With August 19 quickly approaching, we need to mobilize voters who understand the importance of maintaining oil production tax reform. A no vote on Ballot Measure 1 is essential to give our state an economic future that is sustainable for decades to come. A no vote will preserve opportunities for the next generation. Please do not leave this decision to others as every vote counts. Encourage your friends, fellow employees, and neighbors to vote. Have a conversation with them about the merits of the More Alaska Production Act (oil tax reform). If you or they are uncertain about the facts of oil tax reform and its impact on our economy, seek information from state and local resources, including:

Aug. 4 Early and in-person absentee voting opens
Aug. 9 Absentee by-mail application deadline
Aug. 18 Absentee by-electronic-transmission application deadline
Aug. 19 Election Day. Polls are open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
