Support of HB110 - Allen Bingham

I’m a Certified Public Accountant and have lived and worked in Alaska over 37 years. My kids, born and raised here, are still working and raising their own families now. They, like all of us, need the jobs , revenue and benefits the oil industry provides our state.

Oil companies are global and don’t have to do business in Alaska. Their job is to make the most money for their stockholders regardless of where they drill. We need them. They pay the majority of state government and education costs. When they leave it will not be easy to get them back. We need to encourage them to stay and not drive them away.

Alaska must get investment and exploration going on the North Slope. Arguably, business expenses are high here. We need to change ACES to encourage investment in Alaska now.
